It’s Easy Being Green: Celebrity Special to Premiere on Earth Day, April 22nd

RALEIGH, N.C. (February 25, 2008) – Paul Newman, David Duchovny, Helen Hunt, Willie Nelson, and Daryl Hannah are just some of the celebrities featured in a special 1-hour episode of the eco-lifestyle series It’s Easy Being Green.  The special, which is produced by Distillery Pictures, will premiere on Earth Day, which is Tuesday, April 22 at 9PM EDT/10PM PDT on the Fine Living Network. The special will re-air on Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27 at 10PM EDT.

Segments include:

• The Farm Aid 2007 concert on Randall’s Island (NYC) featuring musical performances and interviews with John Mellencamp, Greg Allman, Neil Young, and Dave Matthews.
• A visit to the Dressing Room organic restaurant and conversations with owner Paul Newman and co-owner / executive chef Michel Nishan.
• The Bio-Diesel Alliance fundraiser at Manhattan’s Hard Rock Café featuring interviews with Daryl Hannah, and Willie Nelson and his wife, Annie Nelson.
• A party at the LEEDs platinum certified Project 710 Venice, CA home including interviews with David Duchovny and Esai Morales.

In addition, the special features conversations with Academy Award winning actress Helen Hunt, environmental activist Robert Kennedy, Jr., Newman’s Own Organics’ Founder and President Nell Newman, and rock icon Alice Cooper, who gets introduced to the concept of green golfing. 

Hosted by chef, author, and green expert Renée Loux, It’s Easy Being Green is an eco-friendly lifestyle show that explores cutting edge trends and technologies in the emerging eco-marketplace, as well as fascinating people who have a passion for sustainable living.

Following the hour-long debut of It’s Easy Being Green: Celebrity Special, the series will premiere in June 2008 and air weekly on the Fine Living Network.
